Based in Manalapan, New Jersey, Michael Fratacci Sr. guided Ramco Electrical Contracting Corp. as president. Community involved, Michael Fratacci supports the efforts of the Torch Foundation, which coordinates transformational leadership workshops aimed at teens between the ages of 13 and 17.
The Torch Foundation focuses on the foundational aspects of identity such as self-worth, family relationships, grades, and attendance. The participants of the foundation's leadership workshops are provided full scholarships. The weekend workshops are designed in an interactive, personalized way that reflects the actual experiences of teens who attend. Principles put into play include communication and conflict resolution, as well as an exploration of the real-world consequences that actions can have.
Teens learn to overcome self-limiting beliefs and practice self-control while taking greater responsibility for what they say and do. Through gaining practical tools and insight, participants are encouraged to develop pathways toward overcoming obstacles and creating new possibilities.
While the Torch workshop lasts only two days, it is augmented by phone coaching over a month. This ensures that the concepts and lessons that have been instilled take hold in participants’ lives. Following this month of coaching, teens attend a graduation ceremony that brings them together again and reinforces their work toward life goals.
