The ALF Club and Other Ways to Support the Ashley Lauren Foundation

Michael Fratacci Sr. is an experienced Manalapan, New Jersey-based electrician and entrepreneur who founded Ramco Electrical Contracting Corp., and served as its president from 2001 to 2017. Beyond his professional pursuits, Michael Fratacci supports nonprofits such as the Torch Foundation and Ashley Lauren Foundation, the latter of which provides financial assistance and emotional support to families of children diagnosed with cancer.

Recognizing that it is only as strong as its support system, the Ashley Lauren Foundation (ALF) encourages its supporters to participate in annual fundraisers or organize their own fundraising events in their respective offices and communities. Students, meanwhile, can raise money for the nonprofit by establishing ALF Clubs.

First launched by ALF beneficiary and cancer survivor Emily Braisted at Marlboro High School, the ALF Club has since expanded to Rutgers University and Montclair State University. Students at Rutgers have organized multiple fundraising events and participated in other activities designed to bring joy to children battling cancer. The Theta Kappa Chi sorority at Montclair State University hosts the annual Theta Sweetheart event in support of the ALF.
